Double dipping prevention

COSEC consortium supports the development of open access in accordance with two documents:

• National strategy of open access to scientific publications and research data in Slovenia 2015-2020;
• Plan S, which was signed by Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS).

These documents require consortia to achieve cost-effective publishing in open access publications – e.g. double dipping avoidance in hybrid journals – and minimal embargo periods (current embargo advantages).

According to this COSEC's goal is to achieve low Article Processing Charges (APC) in gold and hybrid open access publications (current discounts for APCs).
